Commonly cooked into pies and made into jams, Elderberry is not only a tart, culinary berry, it is also a nutritious powerhouse. Elderberry is known to be a wonderful defense against viral infections, specifically, the cold and flu. The berries are full of nutritional benefits such as vitamin C, fiber, phenolic acids, flavonols, and anthocyanins. Learn all about Elderberry in this workshop! Attendees will get to visit a local farm, harvest elderberries, and create their own elderberry elixir to take home. The address of this event will be given out, a few days in advance, to those who have signed up and paid for the class.
