The 2015 Bike & Gear Swap took place on June 6 at the Los Alamos Co+op Market. Bike enthusiasts were here bright and early to pounce on all the great bikes for sale. After the initial storm, the chaos calmed. “We had two to three times the bikes this year than in previous years,” says former general manager Steve Watts. There were so many bikes for sale that the TuffRiders couldn’t fit them all into the moving truck as planned. So, Steve braved the night and camped out to protect the bikes.

Proceeds from the Swap, totaling just over two thousand dollars, went to the Los Alamos Tuff Riders, a Los Alamos Chapter of the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA). Sellers received 85 percent of the ticket price. We hope to watch this event continue to grow. This is my second Bike Swap and it just keeps getting better!
