As of June 30th, 2016, General Manager Mike Anderson is no longer an employee of Los Alamos Cooperative Market (LACM). However, the LACM Board of Directors is excited to announce that Tim Morrison (pictured) has accepted the Interim General Manager position and will start today.
The Board selected Morrison from the pool of candidates in the most recent general manager search. To increase stability in the store and allow time for goals to be achieved, Morrison and the Board have agreed to a one-year term, with the hope that Morrison will then become the permanent general manager.
Morrison, who served as the store manager of La Montañita’s Gallup location in 2008 and as LACM’s front end manager from 2011–2015 brings a wealth of co-op and management experience to LACM. “I’m immensely pleased to be back at the store, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again on a regular basis,” he says. “I understand that last year was rather tumultuous for the store, but I think everything is going to be ok.”
The Board recognizes that you, our customers, have watched your store go through a number of staffing changes during the past year. We appreciate your continued dedication to the Co+op during these challenging times. Our goal has always been for the Co+op to be a place where people in our community want to shop, work and spend time. We look forward to embarking on the next steps in LACM’s journey with you, and we welcome your positive interactions and feedback with Tim Morrison as your new interim general manager.
